On Friday we decided to get some fresh air despite the drizzle, and ventured into the village for a few bits and pieces that we needed. We also popped into the Hospice shop to have a browse round. Anyone who needs a fully decorated tree would have loved this.....
I spotted some interesting glassware on the shelf, Dartington etched on the base....
There was a box of 2 of these stem less wine glasses......
And the price?
They just had to come home with me π
I checked on the list of what was needed by the food bank......
And settled on a pack of 4 tins of beans, 2 tins of rice pudding, and toothpaste....
So that's another £4.60 donated.
Graham offered to treat me to a glass of wine in the village pub. Who was I to argue? ππ
What have you been up to lately?
Have you begun celebrating yet?
Thanks for popping in and stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,
Angie ❤️
I never knew stemless wine glasses were a thing! but they look good as tumblers anyway
ReplyDeleteI'm just finishing my prep, my brother arrives here on Monday and then our Christmas will begin.
ReplyDeleteThis is the weekend of The Tree! And I have got as far as printing my Christmas card list. Last day for 2nd class is 16th, I think, so I know what I'm doing this afternoon...
ReplyDeleteWe've not really been celebrating yet, but we do have Alan's sister and her fiancΓ© coming from Scotland tomorrow, so that will be nice. She has asked for us to go out for breakfast rather than lunch so that will be good and Mavis can come with us.
ReplyDeleteThose glasses were a good bargain. I picked up a Cath Kidson mug for £2 today and an Anna Jacobs book, so I can drink tea and read - happy girl! Have a good weekend. Xx
