Books and Belly Ache.....

I absolutely whizzed through the Rob Rinder book I borrowed from the library.  I literally couldn't put it down !  It was just as well really because I've been feeling a little delicate due to a flare up of my IBS and have had to try to relax a bit this last week.  I'm due to have a blood test to rule out other problems but the earliest appointment I can get for this is 3rd October 😟 Not ideal when you are in pain and it needs investigating.....

Anyway, I have another library book to read.  I've read all of Trisha Ashley's books but this one is a bit different......

Meanwhile, I'm having to be very careful what I eat.  There's no spicy food, cooked tomatoes, raw onions, lentils, and I've cut down on bread, cheese and sugar.  There's no cheeky glass of wine with a meal either.  I'm feeling very sorry for myself 😢

Thanks for popping in  and do stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,
Angie 💗

  2. I've not read the latest Rob Rinder book, too tight to pay full price for it as its not in our local library. Hope you are feeling better soon.

    1. I really didn't want to pay the £12 asking price in Sainsbury's so was over the moon to pick it up off the shelf in our library. I hope you can find a copy soon.
Thank you for your good wishes, Marlene.

  3. Do hope you get sorted out soon and start to feel better. Have you tried ringing Dr's again to ask if there is a cancellation list you could be put on, it might lead to an earlier appointment. I'm reading Veronica Henry's How to find Love in a Bookshop and have just finished The Garden of Memories by Amanda James. I'm a quick reader. Xx

    1. We have to book blood tests online direct with the hospital phlebotomy dept via a third party website now. Very confusing and I took the earliest appointment they had.
Oh, I really like Veronica Henry too but I haven't read that one. Must look out for it. Amanda James is new to me but I'm willing to try!
      Thank you Gill xx

  5. I read his first book, Sue, then missed the second somehow. I think I'll try the library for it.
Thanks for your good wishes 🙏
