We are getting ready for the VE Day celebrations in a small way. The potted Union Flag will be placed outside on the porch wall to show our appreciation of all the people who served in the Second World war, and not forgetting those who still serve......
Are you celebrating at all? Are there any street parties going on in your area?
Edit:
The village postbox! 🥰
Stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,
Angie 💗
That's a neat way of displaying a flag; one to copy(
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kirsten, it just seemed the easiest way!
DeleteI've been asked to think about making a felt mouse for VJ Day 🐭🐁🇬🇧🇬🇧
ReplyDeleteYour little mice are gorgeous! Your makes are so inspirational. Angela 🥰
DeleteEnjoy your celebrations! We have Memorial Day coming up (last Monday in May), which honors those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
ReplyDeleteMum's care home was looking lovely the other day, all decked out with bunting and flags, sadly we have nothing at home here at the moment. But the town is doing a lot, the post box has an amazing knitted topper and the beacon will be lit tonight in the square after a little ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if your potted flag will grow new little flags next year :-)
ReplyDeleteNo street party here but I am enjoying your post box cover.
What a lovely thought...baby flags 😂
