I have to say that I am becoming exceedingly confounded by technology. My eBay App stopped working on my smartphone literally overnight. Yes, my phone is 5 years old and...yes...it wasn't the latest technology when I bought it but there was no warning. It just stopped 'being supported' and there is no updated App to download, at least not one that my phone will accept. In addition, my android tablet also has issues now. I feel cheated, frustrated and annoyed. No more 'ker..ching' sound when I sell an item and also eBay has introduced changes to their selling policies which impact on hobby sellers like me with regards to payments from customers. Honestly, I could throw all tech out of the window right now.....
😠Am I alone in feeling this way? Why are tech companies always after my money?
On the plus side, my British Gas App works well and I can see that I have saved money by taking part in half price Sundays:
It's only pence each time but it does add up......
Regarding my Sell & Save ...... well, I haven't sold a thing in over a week....😔
Thanks for popping in. Do stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,
Angie💗
It must be like cold days at car boot sales when people keep their hands in their pockets and spend nothing - ebay must be the same.
ReplyDeleteI suppose people are still feeling the pinch of Christmas ...
DeleteI hate technology, if I get stuck phone my consultant (daughter) to sort it. Hopefully you will get the problem sorted. Xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates it! Our son is an IT expert who creates systems for business but he lives in Australia so is beyond our reach for any help!
DeleteEveryone is always after our money and telling us what we 'need' to have and do these days aren't they. You've made some good savings with your electricity usage though, every penny helps.
ReplyDeleteYes, Sue, they do. New 'upgraded' phone, Smart TV s, 'faster & safer' computers and tablets....the list is endless. I feel like shouting " LEAVE ME ALONE !! " lol....
DeleteYes, I'm pleased with the savings. I get around £4 knocked off every monthly bill which is great.
My British Gas app is working well, it even offers a small torch facility so I can read the meter down in the dark cellar.
ReplyDeleteI submit a meter reading when I'm asked, once a month and my bill has come down a bit.
Indeed! The torch is great isn't it. Our meter is outside but is at ground level and I can't bend easily> The torch certainly helps. Are you able to use the half price Sunday electricity too?
DeleteSorry you are having technical issues. I'm of no use when it comes to technology and rely on my daughter to help!
ReplyDeleteWell done saving electricity and bringing the bill down. My electricity bill went way up because I was using my electric space heater and keeping the big natural gas heater turned down. Now I'm not using the space heaters as much and have turned up the gas heater! My winter heating bills go up every year.
It can be frightening, Bless, when you know bills are increasing at an unprecedented level. In the UK another 6% increase is forecast for April 1st
