Spending Loyalty Points & Needing Fresh Air!

After another bitterly cold night and more snow, and not having ventured out further than to top up the bird feeder, we were champing at the bit for some exercise.  Gray de-iced the car and we popped to the next village on a mission to spend a few Boots loyalty points on stuff we needed.......

They cost a total of 799 points (or £7.99), leaving 445 points for another time......

I had a voucher for another free hot drink so we took the opportunity to pop into Greggs for a warm up and a yummy hot chocolate.

-------------

I also wanted to drop off another batch of cards at the shop, so donated another 15 to start the year off well....

We were out for just over an hour but were really glad to get back into the house.  The cold fair took off our ears!

Have you ventured out into the snow?

Thanks for popping in.  Do stay safe and warm wherever you happen to be,

  1. We stayed in the past two days, but will walk to the village for bread and a few bits, frosty again this morning, lovely blue skies.

    1. It's certainly lovely and fresh here! Grey skies today though.

  2. Lovely cards. The apron one is so pretty. We have ventured out for a shopping trip just to H&B for some dried fruit and turmeric capsules for my husband, and a couple of walks where it is sunny to avoid any slipping. Still icy in shady spots and really cold despite lovely blue skies. Always glad to get back in the warm. Regards Sue H

    1. Thank you, Sue :)
It's still far too icy to venture out here today. I'm too scared of falling again :0/

    1. Thanks, Ang, the aprons are a nightmare to release from the cutting die though. I've cut my finger more than once as the die is such thin metal. You stay safe too x

    2. Try putting the die [sharp edge down] on a sheet of craft foam. Poke gently with a cocktail stick, or one of those short stubby bbq skewers [the ones with a wider 'handle' at the top] i too have shredded my fingers and bled over my die cuts!

  4. Those are beautiful cards, well done. Nope, I have not ventured out further than the bird feeder each day and to bring the wheelie bin back in this morning. It's far to cold and slippery out there for me.

Yes, it's pretty dangerous out there here too. I dare not fall again.
      Stay safely in the warm!

  5. Beautiful cards. I fetched new specs yesterday and took Sheva cat for her annual jabs today - £88 later! I've covered both our car windscreens with a protector (Amazon) as we are forecast snow and ice tomorrow. Iris has fully recovered from Chickenpox, thanks for asking. Baby C now weighs 6lbs and is filling his babygros out nicely. Take care. Xx

    1. Ouch to the vet's bill, that's a hefty sum. So glad that Iris is back to good health and that Baby C is doing so well!
      Stay safe, Gill xx
