I hope all mums in the UK had a great Mothers Day yesterday. Mine was spent taking Graham for a hospital appointment, yes, on a Sunday 🤔at 1pm. The bonus was that the hospital car park was pretty empty so I parked easily for once. We made our way to the department shown on the letter only to be told that the appointment was cancelled 4 days before 😒and we had no idea. No idea why either. The total time we were there was less than 15 minutes so, at least, we didn't have to pay for parking. Graham had psyched himself up for the appointment (he gets really stressed) so to say we were not pleased is a massive understatement. In the end McDonalds was our 'go to' lunch venue 👀
A phone call to the hospital this morning confirms that it was the hospital which cancelled the appointment and another one will be issued at a later date. Gray has only been waiting a year to see the consultant......

How annoying about the hospital - more than annoying really. Hope another appointment comes soon.
ReplyDeleteIt was, Sue. Graham hardly slept the night before for worrying about it, so he was devastated.
DeleteGosh I have to really psych myself up for any kind of dental or medical appointment too, so I can imagine how difficult that was for Graham. It's not good when they forget to let the patient know is it, what a waste of time. Lunch at McDonald's is not that much of a consolation really. :-)
ReplyDeleteMcDonald's didn't really compensate but we were both hungry after we had calmed down a bit and it was the nearest place to go 😐
DeleteI'm hearing that Vinted is now cheaper to sell stuff on than Ebay.
ReplyDeleteThey are so successful that they're branching out into all areas of vintage stuff, including stamps.
Thank you so much. I'll take a look 😊
DeleteWhat a pain about the cancelled hospital appointment. And a Macdonald's, you are braver than me, haven't had one for about 20 years. Popped out to The Range for a couple of bits including a photo frame which I get, but also came home with a magnolia, very small but only £3.99. I'm being very spendy at the moment where plants are concerned. Xx
ReplyDeleteThe McDonald's was nothing to write home about but it filled the gap.
ReplyDeleteOooh I adore magnolias and yours sounds like a bargain Gill 👍
