Browsing Antiques in Bridgnorth

Our outing this week was a trip to Bridgnorth town.  It was around a 20 minute drive so not too far.  We spent a leisurely hour browsing the charity shops then treated ourselves to a hot pasty (steak for Gray and vegetable for me) along with a hot drink from Greggs.  It was a big, airy and warm seating area so we rested our legs whilst we ate.  It cost around £8 and warmed us up a treat.

Next stop was The Old Mill Antiques Centre in low town.  Now I could happily browse in there all day!  Being a very old building, there's no heating so you have to keep moving but there's loads of stuff to see.  They sell everything from antique furniture, jewellery, china, glass, silverware, collectables etc

Musical instruments....

I liked the look of this miniature chest but closer inspection showed it wasn't well made despite the price...

Especially for cat lovers......

Before we started back we popped into Sainsburys and bought ready meals.  This lentil cottage pie was my choice, so quick meals for when we got home were the order of the day!

The ingredients were not too bad and it tasted delicious and filling.

I didn't actually spend any money, Graham bought the food and his other big spend was a notebook...50p !πŸ‘€πŸ˜ Big spender....

Wishing all my US and Canadian friends a very happy Thanksgiving ❤️

Thanks for popping in. Stay safe and well,

Angie πŸ’—

  1. That sounds like a nice day out. You can't beat a Greggs for a warming drink and snack can you. We had far too many coffees and occasional vegan sausage rolls when we were up and down the motorway three times a week visiting Mum. Their coffee is so much better than Starbucks and less than half the price.

  2. Is it Bridgnorth that has the railway lift thingy up the cliff- can't think of the proper name? Vernacular? I could look it up of course!
Greggs coffee and bacon roll breakfast at £2.85 is good value, good coffee and loads of bacon - next month I'll be back there for it - only now and again though!

    1. Yes, Sue, it has a funicular railway which only recently reopened after safety work was carried out. We didn't use it this time but it's quite an experience! It takes you from High Town to Low Town and back again. It was never very expensive, something like £2 each but we didn't check how much it costs since reopening.

Ooh Greg's coffee and bacon roll sounds good. Must check it out next time πŸ˜‰
