Moaning Minnie Strikes Again!

On Saturday I took in a parcel for the chap next door.  It was medication and placed within an ice pack on a 24 hr guaranteed delivery, so why he didn't stay home for it I don't know.  He'd gone off on a bike ride.  In the afternoon he rang the bell and collected his parcel.  As he turned away he did the usual " I just want a word".  This time he complained that my Sainsburys delivery driver drove up the street 'far too fast' last week.  In my view he didn't, as we have his arrival on camera.  Apparently, Moaning Minnie opened his window and shouted at the driver who, apparently, ignored him (I don't blame him 😎)  After delivering my groceries, the perfectly nice and friendly driver drove off whilst (allegedly) 'gesturing' to my neighbour 😂  Minnie asked if I knew the driver's name (no), did I get the same driver each week (no) and who to contact to complain (no idea)  He decided to 'let it go this time'.

For goodness sake.  With all the horrible things happening in the world right now,  all the pain and suffering of ordinary folk...

WHAT DOES IT MATTER ?? 😡

I've got a delivery booked for April 1st so watch this space!! 😂

The clocks went forward yesterday to British Summer Time.  I wish they would leave it alone.  I feel quite discombobulated.....

Thanks so much for popping in and a warm welcome to my latest new follower.

Do stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,

  1. I would simply refuse to take in his parcel and therefore remove the need to talk to him.

  3. Perhaps there's another neighbour who could take his parcel.
I would just plead ignorance to everything he says!

  4. I think it's time to telling this particular neighbour that all his complaints and the things that he is wrongly complaining about, are all recorded on camera. I would love to see his face when you do.

    1. Ooh that's a good idea, Sue. If you remember I caught him on camera dumping rubbish in our grey bin!

  5. Personally I'd refuse to take in any parcels for him, he sounds really obnoxious. Take care. Xx

    1. He has far too much time on his hands and his living room is at the front of the house too. No wonder he is single with his attitude to life, Gill.
      Take care xx

  6. Complain back to him that his delivery person was annoying too/drove too fast/rang your doorbell too often while you were making your way to answer the door/ it was delivered at an inconvenient time for you/about how some neighbors expect you to be home and accept deliveries on their behalf and ask him why he didn't stay in to take his delivery. As others have said, simply refuse to take in any more packages for him. Tell him that, in the future, it would be inconvenient for you to personally accept his packages and any future packages delivered will be left on your doorstep for him to collect (so you don't have to open the door to him).

I hope your April 1st delivery goes well!
