Thank you to everyone who left kind and considerate comments on the loss of my sister's husband of almost 65 years. She will find it hard....
-------------
I seem to be so busy at the moment that my reading has taken a back seat. I'm so busy making cards for the shop that I only get to read at bedtime, so I try to be in bed for10.30pm and allocate half an hour to read and wind down before sleep. At the moment I'm reading this....
It is one of two books which were sent to me by a lovely, kind, blog buddy and I'm enjoying it immenseley. It's a gentle, uplifting read, perfect for bedtime. Thank you, Gill 🤗
------------
Tomorrow is allocated to trying to renew my bus pass, which will expire on my birthday in just over a week's time. I think I can do it at the village library so have crossed my fingers that I am able do it there. It will be a right pain otherwise.
Then I intend to pop into the pharmacy and ask if they are doing flu jabs this year at a drop in. Our surgery is doing them but they only had one appointment left and I let Gray have it. His need is greater than mine! Cowardice has nothing to do with it 😉
-------------
That's all for now...
Thanks for popping in. Do stay safe and well wherever you happen to be.
Sending hugs to everyone who needs one 🫂🫂🫂

So sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, especially your sister 🙏
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get your jab at the pharmacy, here in my small (I mean very small) Canadian prairie city it seems most of them are doing either appointment or drop in. Some are doing a combination of both.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Good luck with the flu jab. We've had ours last week at a local pharmacy no probs not even a sore arm. I like to read for a short while before sleeping it seems to relax me, something calming not exciting! That was a lovely gift. We can renew our bus passes at our Library in fact they offer lots of services like that which is very handy. Take care Sue H
ReplyDeleteI always avoid the special 'flu jab Saturday' at the health centre as the queues are crazy - maybe, come to think of it, it might be covid jab day as well, anyway they have to have volunteers to organise the parking!. The nurses will do the flu jab anytime up to Christmas here, so I'll just sort that soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm not reading at the moment, I'm a bit restless, hope you sort the jab and bus pass with ease.
ReplyDeletePleased you are enjoying the book. Hope you manage to get a flu jab booked. When I renewed my bus pass here in Belper, had to fill a form in, and send it and a photo to the Town Hall in Ripley, but it came back promptly. Good luck. Xx
ReplyDeleteI hope the jab and the bus pass both go smoothly. I'll keep you and your sister in good thoughts. Grief can be difficult.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to get the bus pass at the library and your flu jab at the pharmacy. I have to get my vaccines done, too.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you can get your bus pass renewed at the library nice and easily. I'm looking forward to getting mine next year. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe had our flu jabs at the Drs surgery last Saturday, it was like a very well organised cattle market ... but the main thing was it all went smoothly. I did wake up in the middle of the night with an really aching arm though. Alan was fine, so that's pretty individual I think.
