It has been a horrible week of family worries and not feeling 100% well, so when we went for a walk at the local park, we popped into the coffee shop to treat ourselves to a hot drink. They have recently created this lovely reading area with a free book exchange set up. When we visited there were very few people around, as the kids are now back at school, and it was so quiet and peaceful.....
I took 2 books to donate and found this one for me....
I saw the film based on the first book ages ago and enjoyed it, and am looking forward to reading this one.
Then, when we did a bit of shopping in Sainsburys, I saw this in the sale....
It was half price at just £2.50 and I fell under it's spell 😉 There is even a bit of paper string to save and use for my crafting !
I LOVE a good notebook, don't you?

Thanks so much for popping in. Stay safe and well wherever you happen to be,
Angie 💗
Sorry to hear about your family worries and you not feeling well. I hope things are better for you soon. We have had a worrying time this last couple of weeks, various family members health and other issues, which makes me worry and feel ill, sometimes it seems to go like that doesn't it? I love your notebook, I bought a Studio Ghibli one in the sale the other day and that has a furry cover. Take care Sue H
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you have so much worry too, Sue. It certainly does make us feel quite ill at times, doesn't it. I hope your family worries fade soon.
DeleteYes, I just couldn't resist the furry unicorn cover...so comforting! xx
I hope you are feeling a bit better today. That is a very good book swap and reading area, they would have to evict me after an hour if I sat there. I do like a nice notebook but so far I have resisted buying any furry ones ... I did come close once though!!
ReplyDeleteI thought about you as soon as I saw the comfy chairs! It's really lovely.
DeleteI do feel a little better today, thank you, although my dizziness is still taking me by surprise and I've almost fallen over a few times since my accident :0/
I love my furry notebook and keep stroking it like a pet! lol.....
That's a great book, we popped into The Works and got a few bargains.
ReplyDeleteHope everything is working out for family and that you feel better too. Our granddaughter has managed to dislocate her left elbow falling off her scooter, she's been diagnosed with hyper-mobility, so another morning in A&E. I love stationary, am a sucker for decent notepads. I'm just finishing Garden of Memories (Amanada James) so will post it with the other one. Xx
