Just popping in for a quick 'heads up' Lidl price war veg will be on sale from 15th to 21st of April...
There will be British potatoes, swede, carrots and parsnips, plus green beans and spring onions all at 15p per pack. I intend to try for a pack of each if I can.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully Aldi will be doing the same. Our nearest shops are now Morrisons and Aldi with a smallish Co-op. But we do have a high street greengrocers and several butchers. Every little helps as they say. Xx

Yes we are lucky, Hilde, although we only get the offer twice a year ( Easter and Christmas) It helps enormously with our food budget because we can prepare and freeze some of it for later. Thank you so much for commenting. Best wishes from the UK!
DeleteI'll be looking out for Aldi doing the same as we don't have a Lidl ... although Alan usually calls Aldi Lidl it confuses all the neighbours!!
